Using a hands-on approach, Liz incorporates a variety
of physiotherapy techniques including:
Traditional massage and trigger points to release sore &
tight muscle spasms |
Passive range of movement (PROM) stretches to improve
flexibility and co-ordination
Myofascial releases
Joint mobilization
Land neuromuscular techniques |
In addition to manual therapy techniques Liz also uses various
therapy machines to aid rehabilitation such as:
Pulse Magnetic Field Therapy
Phototherapy (Red and Blue light)
Electrical Stimulation
Therapeutic Ultrasound |
(NB: these machines are non toxic and non invasive)
Treatments are individually tailored for each patient according to
the condition being treated. Your
pet may be treated in the comfort of its own environment, or at the
veterinary practice. Horses can be treated at their own yard.
Exercises and stretches will be prescribed as
appropriate, with instruction for you to continue the treatment at
home if suitable. All animals require a veterinary permission for
animal therapy treatments to begin.
