Hudson's Story

Hudson is a 5 year old Welsh Section D. I bought him in August 2006. He had just been backed having spent his life up until this point living out in a small herd, not doing much.

As we commenced a exercise program of ridden work and lunging it became quite apparent that Hudson favored the left rein and his left shoulder was much more developed than his right. He found the transition into right
canter particularly hard.

We commenced physio with Liz on a regular basis to help him to even up his muscle development and improve his work on the right rein. The treatments Liz gave Hudson included massage, triggers point, myofascia release and stretches to free the tight areas. I was given specific rehabilitation exercises (and massage) to release the muscle tension and strengthen Hudson muscles.

7 months on, Hudson is obviously a lot fitter but we have seen a huge improvement in the symmetry of his muscles. His ridden work is progressing well and I am really pleased with his progress.
